My hot water in one part of the house is sat at 24 degrees but fine in the other part of the house? Any ideas?
Very helpful video. Just what I needed to know.👍
Hi, do I need to use the relay? I have a building with 8 rooms and each room has 2/3 zones and I’d like each room to be able to set their own temperatures, as the TRVs currently installed are inaccessible behind rad covers. So ideally each room would have a controller, sensor in each room and HR92s on each rad.. Do I need the relay for this, I’m not sure the WiFi would reach the boiler room. Hope this makes sense.
😂
Congrats from Sweden and ESBE to all the winners of the Treasure hunt competition!
Ooo Cor-blimey ! 😯 😀 😃
It will be an honour to set sail with Discount Captain Jack Sparrow and the other landlubbers. 😆
Whoop whoop whoop :-)
Should the green light on the relay box be always on ?
Thank you very much. Just what I needed. Noticed the flashing lights on the receiver, but couldn't find the instruction manual anywhere. Did the job in no time. Thanks again.
Hi there, I hope you can help me. My DT4 is blinking with error code “F 22”. I can’t find anything on the web about it. Do you know what it means? Cheers
EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks
Hi, I do hope that you can help. I have just watched how to remove a Honeywell clicky thermostat and the video was 100% accurate. It shows/I have red, yellow and blue wires powering it . The rest of the house setup is exactly as you show … I have the Honeywell timer for hot water/heating. Can I fit the thermostat you suggest and is so what are the wiring positions? Thanks in advance.
The DT4 can replace any existing non-programmable thermostat. Unfortunately, I can only comment about the thermostat we used in the video (which is also the equivalent to a Honeywell T6360 clicky stat). The wires that are in wiring terminals 1 & 3 on the existing thermostat, are the live and switched live wires. You use these wire (and these wires only) in the DT4 switching terminals, the rest of the wires are made safe as I've shown. If you need any technical support with the DT4 product, please contact Resideo on 0300 130 1299. Thanks for watching the video.
@@MWPHS I REALLY do appreciate you taking the time to answer. Thank you👍
So clear, thank you very much.
You're very welcome!
If my cm927 is not working correctly and I replace with another cm927 controller Will the replacement pair without disconnecting the original controller
It will but make sure you remove the batteries of of the old CM927 so it doesn't interfere with the new thermostat.
Hi, I like your videos. Do you have another one with water tank and hot water Y plan, using evotouch and radiator valves for temperature sensors?
I am planning a full revamp of all our evohome videos shortly. Full guides for everything evohome start to finish. Watch this space. 👍🏻
I’m glad you backed yourself up with not 100% on the voltage pen but a multimeter isn’t a HSE GS38 approved tester to confirm the electricity is dead - should be using a 2 pole voltage indicator or test lamp and a known source such as a proving unit
Thanks for your input. I'll be honest, I knew this but I'm dyslexic and mixed up the wording on the video. I'll make sure on the next video I use the correct terminology.
Not working for me. Same old thermostat (THR830T), same wiring, connecting Live to A and Live out (load) to B but nothing is happening. Not sure if it matters that I have a zone valve on the system, not sure if wiring is different in that case, but I have a programming unit similar like in this video, it is on continuous on but no luck 😢
Unfortunately you have multiple fail points in a heating system, so its best to call a heating installer to come and look at the system for you.
@@MWPHS I made it work, but it is weird. On the old thermometer, on your video on number 2 you have blue neutral wire and I have blue and black together on 2, and the new one is working ONLY when those two (blue and black) have contact... So I connected them and isolated them with tape and it's working. No idea why...
Shouldn't that be a 13A fuse? I want to get underfloor electric heating and thought 13A is what I should be using.
The DT4 thermostat is only capable of a maximum switching current of 3 amp resistive. Please don't use 13 amp fuses with these thermostats.
@@MWPHS In short, I inherited electric underfloor heating, but no idea if it is working. The old one is a honeywell t6360 and I would like to replace it but no idea with what and what fuse to use on it.
Please could you post a video of how to use and what setting your boiler should be on as I can't seem to get ours to work. Thank you

My son has just moved into rented house and it has this Honeywell thermostat, the he gets hot water but no heating even tho the thermostat display clicks and shows the heat symbol as if it has come on ,i have searched the house and cant find the relay box you speak of in this video. Is the relay box a must for this thermostat to work ? Soryy if this is a stupid question but i know nothing of how these things work 😊
The thermostat in this video is wireless, but the one your son has is probably a DT90E. This might help ( support.resideo.com/s/article/Where-can-I-find-the-user-guide-for-the-DT90E-thermostat?language=en_US ).
Does the T6r work with that receiver doyou know please?
No, T6 is a Ramses 3 protocol thermostat so only works with the R6H receiver ( www.resideo.com/gb/en/products/comfort/thermostats/thermostat-accessories/r6h911rf4018-2-channel-wireless-receiver-box-r6h911rf4018/ ).
@@MWPHS thank you. I'll be sure to get the complete package to replace the T3r. Thanks for replying 🙂
Super thank you ❤
You are so welcome!
Thanks for this. Have now re set and all ok.
Glad it helped
Thank you. Your video took me step by step to confidently reinstate the heating.
Glad to hear this Karen! :)
I’ve done all steps one by one which is fine but at the end on the relay box and light didn’t on. Do you know why or what’s the problem with it ? Thank you for help
Sometimes, you have to turn the thermostat all the way down and then all the way back up again. Also make sure the thermostat is set higher than the room temperature. If you need support, call 0300 130 1299.
Please can you make a short video showing lay person how to operate the thermostat once it is installed. Eg. What are set temp adjust buttons for / what is eco mode in reality etc ? Plus/ Minus / Flame etc are clear but what about all the other functions? Thank you 🤔😊
I'll see what I can do! :)
That's a BDR91 thermostat! Not like the one that your sister company MWPHS sent me!! Now, after sending it back, you refused to refund me claiming it was damaged!! My engineer only tried to connect to the Honeywell thermostats and didn't install it on the wall! Even Honeywell didn't recognise the model of the receiver you sent me when we called them to try to fix the issue. The worst is that I'm sure Waseem believed his own lies!! Your company shouldn't be ashamed!!
The BDR91 is manufactured in many different shapes under many different product codes, so they won't always look like the one in this video. Essentially they all do have the same PCB, so do work exactly the same as in this video. If you have a look at the video we did 9 months ago (ua-cam.com/video/t-FhOwGW7Ow/v-deo.htmlsi=xBGuYJCwbxrz4bQO), both the BDR91 and the DT2 wireless relay box (which is essentially a BDR91 with a different plastic fascia) are fully compatible with all Ramses 2 Honeywell thermostats. The DT2 wireless relay box supplied on MWPHS (mwphs.co.uk/product/wireless-relay-box-bdr91-replacement-replaces-all-pre-2021-honeywell-bdr91/) is fully compatible with all Ramses 2 thermostats? What was the problem you had maybe I can look into this for you? Thanks, Richard.
@@MWPHS Hi Richard, sorry if I can't call, but as mentioned to Waseem, I can only send emails when I'm at work. I ordered two BDR91, one from Amazon and one from you. Both are to connect with a DT4 thermostat. The one I bought from Amazon connected straight away to my DT4, the one I ordered from you didn't connect. We didn't install it, no screws, nothing. We did nothing to that receiver apart from trying to connect to the thermostat. I didn't check the receiver when I received it but I only noticed that it was in a bubble wrap rather than in its box like the one I received from Amazon. Waseem said that the box had been destroyed in transit... It's only when my engineer came to install everything that he noticed the difference between the two receivers. You claim that they are the same, they are not or yours is faulty...Waseem or your company keep saying you sent the right receiver but you didn't and that the receiver was damaged or in used condition. If it was damaged, ( I saw the pictures and unless, you look for it, you wouldn't noticed), it wasn't by us! I paid for a delivery postage, a return postage and a receiver that it's either the wrong one or is not working and you're refusing for a refund. As I said, next time, I'll go to Amazon, much easier and they don't blame the customer for things they haven't done.
@@alexojus I had replied to you before realising you had left our business two 1 star reviews on Google and a negative Trustpilot review? I have physically seen the wireless relay box you returned with my own eyes and I don’t think I have seen many items returned to us in such poor condition? It is completely unsaleable. It is now not about the money, it’s about the fact we are being call liars and scammers when we have refused to refund an item that has been returned in unsaleable condition. We are not Amazon, we are a small family owned heating supplier who has been running for 10 years. Some of our items are bought direct from the manufacturer as an OEM replacement. All the wireless relay boxes we supply are checked/picked to order by our warehouseman (who is called Nick, been with us 7 years and religiously checks all items before dispatch) and they are packed in electrostatic packaging to protect them from physical and electromagnetic damage. This is not bubble wrap. If you want the detail on the bags we use they are here ( www.kitepackaging.co.uk/scp/bags-for-electronics/open-top-antistatic-bag/ ). When I get into work tomorrow I will get the DT4R I use for my UA-cam videos and test the wireless relay box you have sent back for operation, however the reason you have given for return was that it wasn’t a BDR91. So is the reason for return that the item is faulty? If that is the case that wasn’t clear from the returns paperwork or discussion I had with Waseem?
How to unlock it?

I have two wired DT4s one floor of the house and one wired on another. I would like to change this one to a wireless so I can site it more efficiently. Is this possible or will the system get confused? Thanks for any advice
You can, but bear in mind the DT4 is only a 2 wired connection so you would have to have this appropriately wired to accomplish this.

Nice video ! Do you know if the Evohome and HM80 can control the main mixing valve of my installation (not only for a zone) ?
Hi, evohome and a HM80 (if you can find one) controls mixing at zone level only.
@@MWPHS Ok. That means it is impossible to configure the Evohome to control the 3 way mixing valve depending on the whole house demand ?
@@EtienneL-it2gp why would you have a mixing valve controlling the whole house? A mixed circuit is usually part of more than one zone where the temperature to the one circuit is higher than the second circuit (1x radiator circuit and 1x UFH for example).
@@MWPHS The main 3-way valve makes it possible to precisely adjust the water temperature of the whole circuit according to the needs of the radiators. My installation was designed like this.
@@EtienneL-it2gp ok, well evohome is not designed to work like this unfortunately.
Very clear video. Would the DT4R be a good replacement for the Sunvic TLX 2259. In particular would the backplate of the 2259 accomodate the DT4R without needing to drill new holes etc? I have a conventional boiler (Gloworm)? Many thanks.
Hi, looking at the Sunvic TLX 2259 the shape looks like it fits a standard UK backplate, so should have similar fixing holes to the DT4. Please note that the DT4R is the wireless version, the product in the video is a DT4 (mwphs.co.uk/product/honeywell-home-dt4-white-wired-tpi-thermostat-dt40wt20/).
@@MWPHS That's great, thank-you.
Thank you so much. Brilliant video 👍

Hi Rich, This is brilliant video. I have a question about the EvoHome system. I'm currently using gas boiler with 10 HR924 + HR91EE. I'm planning some renovation works and one zone will be gone with extension where underfloor heating will be in place (part of the house) - the remaining radiators are still there. Can I add the HCC100 to the system? Your help will be much appriciated.
So yes, you can add the HCC100 but you will only have the remaining zones on the evohome controller to use, not the full 8 zones the HCC100 offers.

Hi my underfloor heating system it controled by HCC 80 and EVOHOME. The problem is on the 220v power came 360 v and both HCC80 was dead. Can be fixed? they are at my home in Romania Thank you
Thanks for the video Rich. I presently have a load of Seimens Rev23's with a pretty dumb UFH wiring centre, stitched into my EvoHome system. I would like to replace the dated Rev23's, they are all discoloured and looking tatty and dated. The DT4 caught my eye and that led me to potentially using the HCC100 and integrating it properly. At the moment, the Rev23's have scheduling & setback temperatures which catch the cooling down too much. Obviously, the EvoHOME will do the scheduling, I'm guessing the setback temperature is effectively one of the scheduled steps? It would be great if they would come up with a DT4 with a slab sensor!
Time and temperature control is with evohome, so setback is just a lesser scheduled temperature in another time zone. Evohome has Optimum Start and is better than most systems at regulating air temp between setback and comfort temps.
Hi Richard I used this video a few times before on my centre controller no problem, this time my controller will work manually but when I set the time it does not work,I have temp set to 21 starting temp in room 18,can’t understand why,any help I’d be very grateful thanks
Might not be the thermostat if the relay box is turned off (green light off). Possibly another component failed?
Great video thank you life saver
Glad it helped! :)
Thanks for the informative video. I've got a new installation in progress, and want to avoid a smart/wireless system, and prefer the simplicity of these over the programmable thermostats. I do, however, still want the ability to programme them. If i wanted the bathrooms and living area to be on during the day, but not the bedrooms, does that mean that I'd need multiple external programmers, one for each area?
These are simply non-programmable thermostats, so no provision for any time control. If you want time control, maybe consider another battery operated programmable wired thermostat like the Drayton Digistat 2290B - mwphs.co.uk/product/drayton-digistat-wired-programmable-thermostat-2290b/
My daughter's CM927 thermostat is broken but has the rectangular receiver. What options are there please?
If you have the rectangular receiver the only option is to buy another CM927, but bear in mind these will be several years old now and even if they are new they will be unwarranted. The closest thing to a CM927 is a T4R - mwphs.co.uk/product/honeywell-home-t4r-7-day-wireless-programmable-thermostat-y4h910rf4003/
Mine makes a horrible dial up type noise all the time!
Sounds like its faulty? You shouldn't hear any audible noise.
@@MWPHS Its worked ok for over a year, I use it on manual, since I don't have regular routine and don't need a lot of heating. I actually think it may be affected by signals from my next door neighbour, who has the same system and is only a wall away. It makes the noise when switching on and off. Really I'm not hugely bothered by it though!
@@MWPHS the noise seems to come from the cupboard with the boiler. I.e. the receiver part. Also I may be hearing my neighbour's as well! .
